MOVA Muscle was designed by a GP who kept finding the same supplement drinks left half full day after day.
A resident is losing weight, so a supplement drink is added to their chart. It arrives mid-morning. Some of it gets drunk, most of it doesn't, and by lunchtime they're not hungry anyway. The drink was meant to add to their intake; often it just moves it around. A supplement only works if it gets finished, and a dose only counts if it's actually consumed.
The products themselves are part of the problem. Many are difficult to finish, either because of the volume or the taste. Most carry a meal's worth of calories, largely as sugar. And after all that, a lot of them still don't deliver much protein in a single serve
MOVA Muscle was built the other way around. A full 30 g dose of whey protein isolate in a 150 mL serving size, with six grams of sugar and under a gram of saturated fat. Gentle and small enough to finish. It sits between meals instead of replacing one.
It's made in Australia for Australian aged care, and it's designed by someone who still works in it.
